A little bit of this and a little bit of that.

Promises, promises. I biffed it, have been doing all kinds of things, and have just not had the energy to share. So, let me give you a Reader’s Digest Version. I have had a lot of time to sit and create because I have developed Bursititus on my good side, and walking around and going places has been too painful. So, I have been playing around in my craft room doing many weird and beautiful things. I have not posted in two months. We have had visitors as well. My mom-in-law came on the 4th of July, and then our son visited last week. Here are some of the things I have worked on. I still love crocheting. As I mentioned, I love to freestyle, so here are some of my creations. I made a tag-type toy for a relative’s niece using ribbon and soft chenille yarn to create super soft lovies. I found an adorable one. I also created an abstract embroidery stitching for my niece’s little nephew. She had a cute picture of him standing in a wading pool and admiring the bubbles they were blowing around him.
I was really happy with the end result.

I created a teddy bear with no pattern. She turned out to be a real diva. She has glitzy Frieda Kahlo earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet. I had this goal to add more titles to my Maeve book series. I worked at completing Maeve Goes to Kindergarten and a variety of themed alphabet, color, and shape books. There are now seven books in the Maeve series available online. They are selling at a slow but steady pace on Amazon. The other projects I love to spend time on are doodling intricate patterns and using ink and markers to complete little art pieces. You can tell I have made good use of my downtime staying out of the heat and off my painful leg. Thanks for the visit. I hope I can be more diligent in getting regular posts. However, do not hold your breath. There is a group at our local library that crochets toys for charity. I need to go and take a peek at their next meetup. I also found wallpaper and fabric matching the chair I bought for my office. Riflepaper makes a large variety of items in each pattern. I want to make covers for my dream cart, which looks untidy. My desk is very well-used, and I wish to dolly it up by making a skirt to cover up the questionable appearance of a well-loved and well-used craft center.
