It goes and on and on…the pattern on the fabric that is.

This blog post will be brief. I want to share my two newest wallpaper designs submitted to Spoonflower’s weekly competition. Although I haven’t entered much recently, I’m still passionate about fabric design and wanted to showcase my latest work. My tools of choice are Procreate, Amaziograph, and Adobe Illustrator. The initial drawing and painting are done in Procreate. I transfer the artwork into Illustrator to create a seamless pattern. A bit of math is involved in aligning parts of the design at the edges, making the pattern seamless. Once mastered, the process becomes straightforward.

The fish wallpaper was made using fish illustrations from Procreate, with a custom brush for the background. The retro martini party wallpaper was drawn in Illustrator, using the curvature tool to create all the graphic elements. I’m particularly pleased with how it turned out. The background was also made with a Procreate brush.

I’m working on a new post about my next project: crocheting washcloths and soap holders for the nurses at my oral surgeon’s office. I expect to complete them in the next day or so and will then share images of the project.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Apologies for the simplicity of this post. Hope you enjoy it.
