Fuzzy head and a fun little project.

I haven’t been very productive lately. I’ve been rewatching Outlander for the sixth time, watching YouTube videos on the Ruby Franke court case, and getting some extra sleep. I underwent oral surgery last Tuesday, and as expected, it’s been tough. I’m dealing with a bruised cheek and a black eye from the procedure. This is my fourth attempt to fix a sinus issue caused by the initial surgeon who worked on my mouth. When I mustered the energy to create something, I kept it simple. During our 2013 trip to London, I fell in love with a fabric store called Liberty. Using an old makeup box and a doodle drawing from a couple of years back, I recreated the Liberty store vibe.

I rummaged through my craft supplies to find suitable pieces. The final creation includes items from my craft room, along with a thread container and sewing machine I recently bought. The pink fabric is from a glass cleaner that came with my latest eye prescription. I utilized ribbon and buttons from my existing collection. The frame, bought years ago at a thrift store, was part of a set of three for 50 cents. Arleens tacky glue secured everything in place. Although I’m unsure of the purpose of these creations, I find the creative process incredibly soothing. My next project might involve crafting Amigurumi crochet creatures. I received a Crochet Society box that included a book of instructions for making Amigurumi. I’m hesitant to follow precise directions since I prefer a more freestyle approach. Stay tuned for updates; I aim to share my progress in the next few days, even if it’s a bit of a challenge.
